Barco cookie policy

This is the Cookie policy of the websites of Barco NV and the companies affiliated with Barco NV (hereafter jointly referred to as “Barco” or “we”). Barco NV is a public limited liability company under Belgian law, whose registered office is established at President Kennedypark 35, 8500 Kortrijk, Belgium and whose company address is Beneluxpark 21, 8500 Kortrijk, Belgium.

This Cookie policy aims at informing you about the use of cookies by Barco. This policy should be read together with Barco’s Privacy policy, which is available here.

The Cookie policy can be modified, e.g. as a result of new functionalities on the Barco websites that require the processing of personal data. We thus advise you to check this Cookie policy regularly.

 

1. BARCO WEBSITES AND COOKIES

When you visit our websites, we collect certain information by automated means, using cookies. We may also use other technologies such as pixel tags, browser analysis tools, server logs and web beacons for similar purposes as described in this policy and we may include them on our sites, in marketing e-mail messages or our newsletter, affiliated websites etc., to determine whether messages have been opened and links clicked on. The information provided below about cookies also applies to these other technologies. The information we collect via cookies and other tools is used in a non-identifiable way without any reference to your personal data.

 

2. WHAT ARE COOKIES?

Adobe Marketo Engage

We use Marketo's custom JavaScript tracking code, called Munchkin, to track website activity and marketing email behavior which enables us to provide a better experience to our website visitors, and to tailor our communications to identified contacts. The first time someone visits a page on our website containing the Munchkin Tracking Code, Marketo creates an anonymous activity and tracks it with a browser cookie. This activity includes web activity, form fills and link clicks, and marketing email behavior. If the visitor later identifies themselves via a form or other means of providing identifying information to Marketo, this information will be associated with their profile. Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics to analyze the performance of our websites and follow up on the effectiveness of our marketing efforts. Google Analytics allow us to analyze aggregated data. We do not collect or store any personal data in Google Analytics. We would like to point out that our website uses Google Analytics with the extension '_anonymizelp()' and, consequently, IP addresses are only used in shortened form in order to prevent direct personal references. By accepting the performance cookie set by Google Analytics, Barco will be able to connect this data to other data Barco has about you (ie. User ID). Barco will not upload any data into Google Analytics, which would allow Google to identify you. 

Adobe Analytics

We use Adobe Analytics to analyze the performance of our websites and follow up on the effectiveness of our marketing efforts. Adobe Analytics allow us to analyze aggregated data. Hotjar

We use the web analysis service of Hotjar (e.g. how much time they spend on which pages, which links they choose to click, what users do and don’t like, etc.). Hotjar uses cookies to collect data on our users’ behavior and their devices (in particular device's IP address (captured and stored only in anonymized form), device screen size, device type (unique device identifiers), browser information, geographic location (country only), preferred language used to display our website). Hotjar stores this information in a pseudonymized user profile. Neither Hotjar nor we will use this information to identify individual users or to match it with further data on an individual user. Salesforce Pardot

We use Salesforce Pardot only on Cinionic (our subsidiary) related pages to manage registrations and form submissions on our website, to collect and store consent and to send consent-based email communications. Baidu Tongji

We use Baidu Tongji only on the Chinese website domain barco.com.cn to analyze the performance of our websites and follow up on the effectiveness of our marketing efforts. Pixel tags

We might receive additional information about surfing behaviour from third parties. This is registered through tracking pixel tags , that are small graphic files allowing to monitor the use of our barco.com website. These pixel tags share data with third parties that may include your IP address, the pages you visit, the browser you use, geographical data such as your location, your preferred language and the time and duration of your visit. Pixel tags are used in combination with cookies to provide relevant content and advertisement of interest to you on our website.  The data is transferred regardless of whether you have an account with the pixel tags parties and are logged in there. If you are logged in with the pixel tags parties, your data collected with us will be directly assigned to your existing account with the pixel tags party. We recommend that you log out regularly after using a social network as this way you can avoid being assigned to your profile with the pixel tags parties.

5. HOW CAN YOU MANAGE COOKIES? 

Removing cookies from your device

You can delete all cookies that are already on your device by clearing the browsing history of your browser. This will remove all cookies from all websites you have visited.

Be aware though that you may also lose some saved information (e.g. saved login details, site preferences).
