A clear overview for safer, smoother traffic flows
With the capital of Amsterdam at its hub, the Province of Noord-Holland is one of the most densely populated provinces in the Netherlands. Traffic, as a result, is very busy too. Over the past few years, great efforts have been made to smoothen traffic flows and improve road safety.
In 2010, the authorities started making plans for a provincial control center – a first in the Netherlands. Systems integrator Inter Visual Systems equipped the room with a LED-lit OL-521 video wall from Barco, neatly integrated into a maintenancefree, sleek black frame. More recently, an identical wall was set up in the same room to control traffic in the Waterwolftunnel.
