8.12.13.2 Animated transitions
About animated transitions
Animated transitions can play a crossfade or a predefined movement. For more information about the predefined movements, see “Applying a move animation”.
How to transition
- Select the desired destinations from the top panel or layout group from the bottom panel.
Set the time interval in frames in the right panel or the bottom panel using the one of the following methods:
- Entering a value (reference 30, Image 8–136 or Image 8–137): enter any desired value between ‘0’ and ‘1999’ in the input field.
- Using the + and - buttons: click on the (reference 2, Image 8–136) to increase the value with one point and on the (reference 1, Image 8–136) to decrease the value with one point.
Note: All steps must be done in the same panel. If one step is done in the right panel, then all following steps must also be done in the right panel.
Tip: By default the crossfade will take 30 frames.

Is the animation a crossfade?
- If yes, select the crossfade style from the drop down in the right panel or the bottom panel (reference 32, Image 8–136 or Image 8–137). Go to next step.
- If no, ensure the desired layers are armed (reference 35, Image 8–137). Go to next step.
Click the button (reference 3, Image 8–136) in the right panel or the button (reference 29, Image 8–137) in the bottom panel.
All armed animations and the crossfade play and the preview scene is shown on program.
