3.3 Installation process

1. Ensure the install location adheres to the requirements. For more information, see “Installation requirements”.
2. Optional: install the desired Event Master cards in the Encore3 units. For more information, see “Installing an Event Master card”.
3. Optional: mount the Encore3 units in a rack. For more information, see “Rack mounting”.

4. Connect the cables to the Encore3 units. For more information, see:

   • Optional: “Control connection”.
   • Optional: “Linking multiple Encore3 units”.
   • Optional: “Genlock connection”.
   • Connect the required inputs and outputs to the installed Event Master cards.
5. Provide power to the Encore3 units. For more information, see “Powering the Encore3”.
