4.4 Wired connection

AV equipment
Audio-Video (AV) equipment refers to specialized hardware that supports audio, video or both audio and video related capabilities. This equipment can be a standalone peripheral or built-in to other hardware.
About wired connection

There are two main ways of connecting to ClickShare with a direct cable. Which method is available depends on the installed Base Unit and the configuration of that Base Unit. If the Base Unit is configured to be used with a wired connection, then a connected video cable must be available in the meeting room. Connecting a video cable into a Base Unit without additional configuration will not allow for wired connection. For more information on how to configure the Base Unit, see the installation manual of the Base Unit.

ClickShare App vs wired connection

The ClickShare App does not function during a wired connection. All available actions depend on the operating system of the device that is using the wired connection.
