Supporting communities across the globe during the holiday season
2 minutos de leitura
Providing access to health and education is an important part of how we empower communities at Barco. We believe in the power of doing good and giving back, especially during moments when support can make a real difference. This past holiday season, our teams in Noida (India) and Sacramento (US) helped children and families facing challenging circumstances.

Helping children thrive in Noida
For many years, Barco India has been closely connected to the Barco Sakshi Education Center in Noida, founded in collaboration with the NGO Sakshi.
After sponsoring the construction of the school in 2017, our colleagues have continued to support the center in many ways – from giving classes and providing meals to organizing engaging activities and assisting children in getting to school safely.
During the recent holiday period, the Barco team in Noida launched a collection drive for essentials such as colouring pencils, books, warm clothing and other useful items, supporting around 200 children from the Sakshi Education Center.
Bringing holiday warmth to families in Sacramento
In the United States, our Sacramento team continued two community traditions they have been supporting for years. For more than ten years, employees have supported the Salvation Army Angel Tree program, which provides gifts to children whose families are facing crisis situations such as unemployment, homelessness or medical emergencies. Each year, names and wish lists of children aged 0–12 are displayed on tree ornaments across the city. Barco employees supported six children by fulfilling their wishes with items ranging from clothing and toys to hygiene products or small tech devices.
In addition, for the past five years our Sacramento colleagues have contributed essential supplies to the Sacramento Children’s Home Crisis Nursery. As the county’s only crisis nursery, it supports families in times of crisis with emergency childcare for children between 0 and 5 years old. Barco employees donated items from the nursery’s needs list, which includes food, diapers and hygiene products. These contributions help the nursery continue its mission of supporting families when they’re in urgent need of care.

Empowering society together
These efforts show how small acts of care can create lasting impact in the communities where we live and work. These initiatives reflect our community engagement commitments and programs through our “Empowering society” pillar. We have three levels of giving: supporting global & local efforts, encourage and empower our teams to participate in volunteering programs and inspire and motivate broader society.
