Barco Partners with Kaltura to Bring Integrated Cloud-based Video Learning into the Physical Classroom

Kortrijk, BE, December 18, 2019 – Barco, a leading technology company that specializes in digital projection and imaging technology, has joined forces with Kaltura, the leading video technology company based in New York, US, in a strategic partnership focused on the education and corporate training sectors.

Under the partnership, Barco and Kaltura will focus on delivering the next level of academic experiences by integrating Barco’s weConnect with Kaltura’s video platform, high-quality video delivery and network optimization solutions. By opening APIs between the two companies adaptable systems, educational institutes and business schools around the world will now have access to streamlined and optimized sessions through weConnect-enabled physical or remote digital classrooms supported by the best quality audiovisual system.

EdTech is heading towards instructor-led, virtual sessions, which are increasingly becoming a critical part of the digital transformation of training. More and more business schools, corporate training academies, universities and colleges want to be able to provide a live distance learning experience that facilitates engaged and interactive learning.

Ellen Van de Woestijne, Education Segment Marketing Director at Barco, said: “We’re very excited to team up with Kaltura to deliver our customers a better learning experience. Barco and Kaltura believe that to successfully meet the needs of today’s modern learners and trainers, the environment must deliver the same experience as in a physical classroom.
