Thousands of the world’s lighting industry professionals landed in Las Vegas last week to attend “LDI,” the industry’s largest worldwide exhibition, now in its 21st year. Kicking off the event at a pre-show dinner, Barco/High End Systems’ R&D Engineers Scott Blair and Eric Johnson received the 2010 Frank Stewart Volunteer of the Year award from the Entertainment Services and Technology Association (ESTA) for their organization of ESTA’s Control Protocols Plugfests. At the show, a multitude of lighting designers, customers, and programmers enjoyed the powerful array of products on hand at the Barco booth. Many had the opportunity to experience hands-on demos of the eagerly-anticipated intellaspot XT-1, a brand new hard-edged unit featuring high lumen output from a low-wattage lamp.  Other industry-leading products on display included the Cyberlight® 2.0, DL.3™ and Axon Media Server, SHOWGUN 2.5™, SHOWBEAM 2.5™,DML-1200 w/Axon SHOWPIX® and StudioPix®, Road Hog Full Boar, and the Wholehog® line of controllers.
