Power, speed and precision: meet the world's first single-chip native 4K simulation projector

3 分钟阅读

He's here: the world's first native 4K single-chip projector! Designed specifically for the demands of the training and simulation customer, the F400-HR brings power, speed and precision to high-end training systems with native 4K resolution up to 240Hz processing speed. Add very high-speed processing, superb laser illumination and extreme reliability to the mix, and you get a projector that ticks all the boxes for use in even the most demanding applications.

Extreme situations bring out your instincts. And your instincts are only as good as your training. That is why Barco aims to design projectors that create the highest level of realism possible. The new F400-HR is specifically designed for the training & simulation market and ensures a smooth experience that allows trainees to sharpen their skills and let every action become part of their instincts.

All details at every blink of the eye

The native 4K (4,096 x 2,176) resolution allows you to display images of stunning quality. This can be lifted to even 6K and higher using the powerful built-in pixel-shift capability to bring even the smallest details to life. But it's the extremely high-speed processing of up to 240 Hz at native 4K resolution that makes this projector truly unique for use in simulator systems. Even the fastest moving scenarios still show every pixel to perfection.

Built on the next-generation proprietary Barco Pulse platform, the F400-HR also benefits from the extraordinary high bandwidth capacity of this software architecture, that efficiently ensures multiple advanced processing operations can take place with minimal time delays. Plus, the F400-HR is also fully rated for shock and vibration, so it is fit for use on motion platforms.

Built to perform

A revolutionary high-speed laser light source creates speckle-free images of outstanding clarity and color intensity in every situation. With limited energy consumption and a lifetime of up to 50,000 hours (depending on the mode of operation) without the need for maintenance, the projector also ensures a minimal TCO.

Also available is the purpose-built FS400-HR, designed for NVG simulation applications. This projector adds a dedicated IR light source to the F400-HR’s solid-state RGB light engine, allowing for individual control of visible light and IR intensity. And a brand-new ultra-high resolution EN83 lens complements the launch of the native 4K projectors. This lens has an extremely high optical quality and is designed specifically to maximize brightness, eliminate dust contamination, and to withstand motion and vibration through an improved barrel design. The lens is the first in the new Barco FLC series of lenses designed for the new native 4K projection platform. The F400-HR series is also compatible with the current FLD-type lenses safeguarding past investments when updating to higher performance visual systems.
