‘Designing Future Society for Our Lives’ – that could be Barco’s tagline, right? It was actually the theme of World Expo 2025 in Osaka. Across numerous pavilions, the expo explored how innovation in healthcare, sustainability, and technology can tackle major global challenges. A perfect fit for us to co-create immersive visual experiences for the Belgian pavilion and several other spaces across the Expo grounds. Scroll down and enjoy the show!
1. Fantasy meets Human Regeneration
The Belgian Pavilion was Barco’s main showcase at Expo 2025. 27 Barco projectors brought dreamlike worlds to life through flashy scenography and video animations, taking visitors a journey through the theme ‘Human Regeneration’.
2. The future of medical visualization
During Health and Well-Being Week, visitors to the Belgian Pavilion experienced medical imaging like never before. Our autostereoscopic 3D display combines glasses-free augmented reality with advanced 3D imaging software to revolutionize how healthcare professionals visualize cases.
3. Taiwan’s heart and soul, projected
The TechWorld pavilion became one of the Expo’s most talked-about attractions. We helped create a captivating multisensory journey that connected visitors to Taiwan’s natural beauty and technological innovation.
4. The Ocean: the blue dialogue
Barco projectors helped turn the Portugal pavilion into an immersive sensory experience. Through powerful visuals, visitors explored Portugal’s maritime history, culture, and commitment to sustainability.
5. Thriving in Harmony: Nature, Culture, Future
Indonesia’s pavilion took the form of a seafaring vessel. Under the theme ‘Thriving in Harmony’, it fused the country’s maritime heritage with immersive storytelling to chart Indonesia’s sustainable vision toward the future (Emas 2045).
Behind the scenes across the grounds
From the Belgium, Portugal, Indonesia, Algeria, and Tunisia pavilions to Tech World and the set-up of the Iida Industry Group: Barco solutions powered experiences across multiple spaces. What’s more, our on-site technical team provided immediate support during the six-month event, ensuring that every visual ran smoothly.
