Sharing content
You can share content to the ClickShare Hub Base Unit using two ways:
1. Using the ClickShare Button
Content can be shared from a Button that has been paired with the Clickshare Hub.
- Plug the Button into the USB port on your laptop.
- Wait for the Button LED to:
- Blink white intermittently, then
- Turn solid white (indicating the Button is ready for content sharing).
- Press the Button. The LED turns red, and your content will be displayed:
- If the Hub is not in a call, your content will display locally on the meeting room screen.
- If the Hub is in an active Microsoft Teams call, your content will also be shared with remote participants.
▶️ For a quick visual guide, watch the ClickShare 5th Gen Button video tutorial (from 8 sec to 48 sec).
2. Using a USB cable (Wired sharing)
- Connect your laptop directly to the Hub via the wired sharing USB port using a suitable USB cable.
Stopping and restarting sharing
Stop sharing
- Press the Button again — the Button LED will turn solid white, or
- Click the Stop Sharing icon on the ClickShare Control Panel, which will stop both Button sharing and wired sharing.
Restart sharing
- For wired sharing, select the Share icon on the Control Panel.
- For Button sharing, press the Button again.
Troubleshooting content not sharing with Hub
If you are unable to share content with the ClickShare Hub, check the following:
1. Button not paired
- Ensure the Button is correctly paired with the ClickShare Hub. For pairing instructions, see KB15641.
2. Content Sharing option disabled
- Verify that the Content Sharing feature is enabled. If it is disabled, follow the methods outlined in KB15703 to enable this option.
