Founded as a business news channel in 1993, MBN transitioned into a general programming channel serving South Korean viewers in 2011. MBN has been a satisfied Barco customer for quite a while, and has used an array of Barco OverView OVL-708 LED video walls as a broadcasting backdrop for the last 5 years.
In 2016, the broadcasting company had the ambition of putting together the largest video wall used for broadcasting backdrop applications in Korea. Happy with the OVL-708 cubes, MBN purchased an additional 12 OVL-708 units, for a total of 36 70-inch cubes in an 18x2 configuration. The system relies on a Barco Encore Presentation Switcher, and is currently running 24/7 – illustrating Barco’s leading position in the development of reliable, low-maintenance and high-quality audiovisual technology.
