Honor of Kings, the game IP widely beloved by esports and mobile gaming enthusiasts, celebrated its 10th anniversary on October 26, 2025, with an immersive audiovisual spectacle: the Honor of Kings 10th Anniversary Co-Creation Night, held at the Wuliangye Cultural Sports Center in Chengdu. Leveraging its industry-leading image processing capabilities and exceptional system stability, Barco delivered precise control of the stage display system - illuminating a decade of memories for players worldwide and opening a new chapter of future glory.
As the 10th anniversary celebration of this national-level game IP, the Honor of Kings 10th Anniversary Co-Creation Night combined cutting-edge stage design with multidimensional innovative technologies to create the grand, interactive King’s Canyon universe. The stage featured the “Red & Blue Galaxy” as its visual leitmotif. Multi-screen coordination combined with mechanical stage movement produced breathtaking imagery, creating a profound, immersive stage experience reminiscent of a vast star-filled cosmos.
This project presented exceptional complexity and challenges. The first is its scale and system complexity, the setup involved numerous screens and multiple content sources requiring synchronized control, encompassing substantial hardware and real-time content management. The different formats and resolutions had to be seamlessly integrated to ensure consistent visual quality.
Additionally, venue lighting and ambiance required precise adjustments to maintain optimal display performance. And the project also had a tight schedule, all system integration and testing had to be completed within a strict, condensed timeline.
Two Barco Encore3 units served as the highly reliable visual hub for the Honor of Kings anniversary stage, managing all screens and coordinating real-time switching across multiple video sources. The system used high-bandwidth HDMI cables connections with redundant backup paths. Both Encore3 units interfaced seamlessly with multiple Disguise media servers and players, ensuring real-time processing, and synchronized multi-screen output. This set-up enabled dynamic interaction between video content, CG animation, live video feeds, and performance segments - flawlessly supporting opening sequences, character presentations, and virtual interactions to deliver a high-quality, latency-free visual experience for audiences worldwide.
The two Encore3 units, outputting 10 channels of 4K 60Hz signals, worked in tandem, using multi-layered control features. Through precise on-site calibration, all visual content was perfectly adapted to the event environment, achieving optimal display effects.
Barco Encore3’s simple and intuitive user interface, along with efficient content synchronization technology, significantly reduced system setup time, ensuring smooth installation and commissioning of all equipment within the tight production schedule.
Throughout the entire project performance of the 10th Anniversary Honor of Kings Co-Creation Night, the Barco Encore3 maintained stable operation without any technical issues, ensuring the show’s seamless execution and demonstrating Encore3’s high-performance, professional reliability.
