Representing centuries of Islamic artThe Museum of Islamic Art (MIA) houses many centuries’ worth of art from around the Islamic world. The flagship of Qatar museums sees it as its mission to safeguard and study the cultural expressions of Islamic civilization in order to build bridges to the future. Prismax, who developed the content for the Vogue Arabia projection spectacle, ensured this idea was reflected in the video sequence, as highlights from various Islamic architectural periods transformed into Vogue magazine covers.
Reliable and bright The two hundred guests in the courtyard of the museum - including Qatar's royal family and the cream of the crop of the fashion industry - watched 21 HDF-W30 projectors run by d3 media servers display crisp images onto the 40m-high museum walls. Jo Pauly of AV expert Visual Solutions: “Barco’s HDF-W30 venue projector is my preferred choice for prestigious projects like this. It offers WUXGA resolution, a very high light output, and an excellent lens suite. It’s so reliable: despite the high temperature during the event we projected the most vivid colors.”
