Barco's 4K shines bright on 80-ft screen at Digital Cinema Symposium

An exclusive symposium featuring the latest in large-format digital cinema technology featured Barco’s 4K projector on a giant screen for the first time ever. In addition to the industry premiere of “Waking the T.Rex 3D: the Story of Sue,” Barco participated in a demonstration of the various 3D technologies, a 4K DLP vs. 70mm shootout, an alternative content showcase, industry premieres, and trailers of new digital shows.

In addition to the industry premiere of “Waking the T.Rex 3D: the Story of Sue,” Barco participated in a demonstration of the various 3D technologies, a 4K DLP vs. 70mm shootout, an alternative content showcase, industry premieres, and trailers of new digital shows.

Presented by Moody Gardens and D3D Cinema, the two-day event targeted to museums and major attractions was built around Barco’s newest DP4K-32B, the brightest projector on the planet. As a primary technology partner, Barco also participated in expert panel discussions and roundtables presenting the latest information on digital content production, theatre operations and more.
