A new UDM in the Barco portfolio. What does it mean for you?
2 minutos leídos
The first Barco UDMs were launched in 2019 as our new 3-chip DLP platform. Together with the UDX projectors, they make up our flagship projection line for medium and high brightness applications. As market demands shift, it’s the perfect addition to your rental fleet for projection mappings and live events visualization. “And why?”, you ask. We’ll answer exactly that question and more in this new series of blog posts and videos highlighting the unique features, important proof points and inspiring references.
When designing the UDM four years ago, we made zero concessions to give you the best there is. Today we set the bar even higher improving the platform’s efficiency, launching two new 30K category projectors. We continuously invest in innovative engineering to offer the most trusted solutions for our customers’ applications. The new UDMs are at the forefront of that ambition.
One big happy family
With the addition of the UDM-30Ks to the Barco platform, you get one-stop access to the widest laser portfolio in the market. From 4,000 up to a staggering 75,000 lumens and everything in between; our G-series, F-series, UDX, UDM, XDX, XDM and XDL form one big happy family covering the entire lumen range.
Moreover, the family represents a comprehensive array of different resolutions, light sources, chip systems and sizes. So, no matter your needs, you’ll surely find a Barco projector in our all-round technology-agnostic portfolio that fits the bill.
You can meet the expanded family at ISE 2023 from January 31-February 3. (And we’ve got a free entrance ticket waiting for you using the Barco invitation code on our event page 😉)
Barco’s UDM-4K22 and UDX-4K32 projectors enabled Novatech to deliver an unforgettable experience by taking visual immersions to the next level for Ouchhh Studio’s epic Wisdom of AI Light exhibition at the Illuminate Adelaide 2022 festival.
And these partners and customers in the rental and staging industry have some lovely words to share about the addition of the Barco UDM projectors in their fleet. Leko Novakovic, for instance, Managing Director at Novatech Creative Event Technology, says: "As a long-time user of Barco products, we wanted projectors that complemented our existing stock including the UDX workhorses. The flexible nature & reliability of the UDMs stood out to us and will allow us to work on large creative projects around the continent."
Weighing less than 50 kgs, the UDM-30Ks are the most compact and lightest projectors on the market in its class. While the light-weight design of the UDM saves you lots of installation time and reduces shipping and labor costs, it never compromises on the quality of your projection with mind-blowing colors and best-in-class 4K UHD processing at lowest latency. We’ll dive into more detail about the quality and performance of the UDM projectors in our next post.
