5.1.6 Side-by-side sharing

About side-by-side sharing

Side-by-side sharing allow two different device to share content at the same time. This content is spread out over the meeting room displays without interfering with each other. The content can be resized to fit two sections on one display. The resizing depends on the aspect ratio of the meeting room display.

Dual screen side-by-side sharing

Two displays allow side-by-side sharing to dedicate one display per device. This avoids or minimizes content resizing to fully display the content coming from the two devices. If both displays must share content from one device, see “Dual screen sharing”.

Both devices must be connected to the ClickShare. For more information, see:

How to share
  1. Is the Button used to connect to the ClickShare with the first device?

    • If yes and the default share functionality must be used, press the share button.
    • If yes and specific content must shared, click the desired content (reference 5 or 6) in the ClickShare App.
    • If no, click the desired content (reference 5 or 6) in the ClickShare App.
    Note: For more information on the location of the share button, see “The ClickShare Button”.
    Note: Minimized windows are not able to show a preview of the content that will be shared.

    If a window is being shared, then a green border is added to the window that is being shared.

  2. Is the Button used to connect to the ClickShare with the second device?

    • If yes and the default share functionality must be used, press the share button.
    • If yes and specific content must shared, click the desired content (reference 5 or 6, Image 5–8) in the ClickShare App.
    • If no, click the desired content (reference 5 or 6, Image 5–8) in the ClickShare App.

    The content from the second device is shown to the left of the content from the first device or on the second display. If a window is being shared, then a green border is added to the window that is being shared (Image 5–9).
