8.3 Take over conference view

Availability
About taking over

Taking over simplifies which user device is using conference view. Any user device can stop the conference view of another user device and immediately start a new conference view at any time. This reduces the amount of actions that must be done to switch between user devices.

Prerequisites

At least two different user devices must be connected to the ClickShare. One of these user devices must be using conference view. For more information, see:

ConnectingSharing
Conferencing app
A conferencing application sends audio, video and content over the internet to and from the participants. Joining a meeting through a conferencing app is seen as being a remote participant.
How to take over
  1. Is the connection made using a Button?

    • If yes, press and hold the share button.
    • If no, click on Take over (reference 2).
Note: For more information on the location of the share button, see “The ClickShare Button”.

  2. Share content using the conferencing app. For more information, see the documentation of the conferencing app.

Tip: The content being shared on the meeting room display is synced to the content being shared in the conferencing app. When a different screen or window is shared, no actions are needed in the Desktop App or Button App.
  3. Click on a layout in the Desktop App or Button App (reference 5).

Note: The layout cannot be changed when two displays are connected to the ClickShare.
Tip: The Desktop App or Button App is minimized when conference view is started.
