Ho Chi Minh City, VN - 2016

Named after Vietnam’s first president, Ho Chi Minh City has always been proud of its moniker. As Ho Chi Minh is a Vietnamese national and spiritual leader, his statue was placed before the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee Building, a 120-year-old palace, which is now considered the signature building of the city.

To celebrate the city’s 40-year anniversary, the city collaborated with local partner Tran Linh Multimedia Vietnam to deploy an array of 6 Barco HDF-W26 projectors and Encore Video Processors to map a high-definition 3D projection onto the People’s Committee Building. Unique about this project was the fact that this was the first time a projection mapping was done on a building with such historic significance in Vietnam. On July 2, large crowds gathering to observe and film the vivid show and were amazed by the precise, visually-stunning imagery which highlighted the beauty of the palace and the quality of the Barco HDF-W26 projectors.
