Since this month, Barco is a proud corporate member of the British Institute of Radiology (BIR). We look forward to sharing our knowledge on imaging with peer members and gain ever better insights into the needs of radiologists. In this way, we’ll get another step closer to achieving the mission of our healthcare business: to ensure the best possible healthcare outcomes.
Connecting, sharing and learning
Established in 1897, BIR is the world's oldest radiologic society. In its 120 years of existence, the organization has always remained faithful to its founding principles, i.e. promote excellence in patient care and healthcare through education, research and technologic innovation.
As a corporate member, we will collaborate with BIR to develop educational events and publishing activities, while exchanging our expertise on imaging technology. “BIR is a powerful platform to connect to radiologists and understand their needs. At the same time, we will share our insights with the radiology community,” said Piet Candeel, Sr VP EMEA at Barco, upon signing the agreement. We can’t wait for the first get-together!
