Celebrating the first clinical installation of Eonis Vision

We are excited to announce the first clinical installation of the Eonis Vision bundle solution (consisting of the Barco Eonis 3D display and Avatar Medical Vision software) at UHealth – University of Miami Health System. Together with Avatar Medical, we are bringing a new way of visualizing medical images directly into patient consultations.

This milestone reflects a shared ambition between Barco and Avatar Medical: making complex medical imaging easier to understand for patients, while supporting physicians in delivering clearer, more effective communication.

Turning scans into intuitive 3D experiences

With Eonis Vision, we enable clinicians to transform CT and MRI scans into interactive, glasses‑free 3D visualizations.

During consultations, physicians and patients can explore anatomy in real time. Instead of interpreting abstract 2D images, patients can see their own anatomy from every angle, helping them better understand their condition and treatment options.

The solution combines Barco’s Eonis 3D display with Avatar Medical Vision software, delivering patient specific 3D visualization without complex preparation.

Designed for clinical reality

At UHealth’s Department of Neurological Surgery, Eonis Vision integrates naturally into existing workflows. Physicians can instantly bring 3D visualizations into consultations, without additional setup or disruption.

This ease of use is essential in busy clinical environments, where time and clarity are both critical. By simplifying how imaging is shared and explained, we help clinicians focus on what matters most: meaningful conversations with patients.
