8.3.3 Annotations

Prerequisites

Content must be sharing before annotations can be used. For more information, see:

How to use

  1. Is the status bar hidden?

    • If yes, tap Show (reference A) on the touch display to see the touch options. Go to next step.
    • If no, go to next step.

  2. Tap on the annotations icon (reference 3) on the touch display ().

    The status bar shows the annotation icons.

  3. Tap on a desired color (reference 9).

    • Red
    • Blue
    • Green
    • Black
    Tip: Colors can be changed at any time.

  4. Draw the desired content on the touch display.

    Note: Any drawings are only visible to the local participants. The drawings are not shared during conferencing.
    Tip: When the eraser is active (), annotations around the touch input will be removed.

  5. Must the content be saved ()?

    Tip: The content is saved to all devices connected to the Base Unit. For more information, see “Button connection”, “Desktop App connection” or “Mobile App connection”.
    • If yes, tap the save icon (reference 6, Image 8–14). Go to next step.
    • If no, go to step 7.

  6. Tap Yes (reference 10) to save the content.

    Tip: When a USB stick is plugged into the Base Unit, the content is also saved to that USB stick.

  7. Must new annotations be made ()?

    • If yes, tap the clear icon (reference 7, Image 8–14). Go to next step.
    • If no, go to step 9.

  8. Tap Clear All (reference 10) to reset the annotations.

    Use the annotations as desired. Go to step 3.

  9. Is content present on the canvas ()?

    • If yes, tap the close icon (reference 5, Image 8–14). go to next step.
    • If no, tap the close icon (reference 5, Image 8–14) to stop using annotations. No further actions required.

  10. Must the drawing be saved?

    • If yes, tap Save and exit (reference 12). No further actions required
    • If no, tap Exit without saving (reference 13). Go to next step.

  11. Tap Exit without saving (reference 13) to stop using annotations.
