Barco and Immersion pool their VR expertise

In line with its new partnership strategy, Barco has recently closed a strategic partnership agreement with the French company Immersion. A European expert in immersive and collaborative 3D innovative technologies, Immersion is the first European partner in the VR field to join Barco’s partner network.
High level of expertise
"We have chosen to partner with Immersion because of their high level of expertise in the fields of clusters and interactive technologies and their commitment to innovation. Moreover, Immersion was historically the first firm in France to distribute the projectors of projectiondesign, now owned by Barco,” explained Eric Braux, Barco’s Country Director, France.
Accelerating growth
"This partnership is a token of recognition and gratitude for Immersion. The possibility to rely on a global maintenance network is also an additional quality assurance for our French and foreign customers. More generally, this agreement is a key factor to perpetuate our activity and accelerate our international development," added Christophe Chartier, president and co-founder of Immersion.

In the past year, Barco has invested heavily in partnerships with industry experts for the installation and support of its products. The partnerships are a real win-win situation: technology partners win access to Barco’s market, while Barco can rely on their expertise and services to raise customer service levels.
Barco and Immersion shared a booth at the 15th edition of the Laval Virtual, International Conference and Exhibition on Virtual Reality and Converging Technologies, from 20 to 22 March last.
