Barco UniSee 500 has arrived! This new member of the Barco UniSee family has a brightness level of 500 nit and brings all the advantages of the original UniSee platform to environments with controlled and reduced ambient lighting conditions. This includes meeting rooms, television studios, simulation systems and smaller control rooms. In this way, end-users can benefit from the unique Barco UniSee features and get even more value for their money.
Perfectly adapted to customer needs
The benefits of Barco UniSee are well-known in the market. The bezel-less design, resulting in the world's smallest optical seam between panels, almost eliminates the 'black raster' that traditionally interrupts the content shown on an LCD video wall. This great advantage broadly expands the applicability of this revolutionary platform. In the past, LCD video walls were rarely considered in applications where alphanumeric content is spread over multiple tiles (for example in meeting rooms), but with Barco UniSee this suddenly becomes a possibility.
However, for indoor environments (like offices), that are mainly lit by artificial lights, the high 800 nit brightness of the original Barco UniSee platform is too much. For ergonomic reasons, brightness rarely exceeds 400 nit. That is why we now introduce the new Barco UniSee 500, an LCD video wall that perfectly answers the market demand for excellent image quality, reliability and serviceability, but at a reduced brightness level and cost. As such, Barco UniSee 500 completes the UniSee family.

All the other components and benefits of the original Barco UniSee platform are available in the new Barco UniSee 500. This includes the UniSee Mount that automatically aligns the video wall and keeps it aligned over time (using the power of gravity), provides the best image uniformity in the market, and uses the Sense X automatic color and brightness calibration.
What’s more, Barco UniSee 500 also includes some new features. Set-up and maintenance can now be performed faster and more easily using the upgraded UniSee Connect module. A wizard guides the user through the complete installation process and the individual panels are automatically recognized at the right position in the video wall. The new local dimming feature allows for higher contrast, lower radiated heat and reduced power consumption.

Barco UniSee 500 can also benefit from the ecosystem partners that offer tailored components for the Barco UniSee platform. This includes touch overlays for increased interactivity, trim solutions for elegant integration in the environment, additional mounting structures to allow for free-standing set-ups, etc. There is even a specially designed curved mounting solution that makes it possible to have a concave curvature of your video wall for an increased ergonomic and immersive effect.
