Which IP addresses are required for a QAWeb Server connection?

IP addresses used

The following two IP addresses need to be accessible by the QAWeb Relay software:

  • 137.117.187.172 (https://service.medical.barco.com)
  • 137.117.177.94 (https://secureservice.medical.barco.com)

How can I make these IP addresses accessible in my network?

There are two preferred ways to make these IP addresses accessible:

  1. Whitelist these IP addresses on port 443, outbound only, for easy access by the QAWeb Relay
  2. Create a service user which has access to these IP addresses (through the firewall or proxy) and run the QAWeb Relay service as this user (instead of the default 'Local System Account' user)
We recently see more and more cases where the firewall is changing the SSL certificate of the messages which are exchanged between QAWeb Relay and QAWeb Server. Using this technology will result in connectivity loss. We recommend foreseeing an exception for the QAWeb Server connection.
