1. ClickShare CX-50 2nd generation at its full potential

Upgrade to 2.16 firmware to unlock the full potential of your ClickShare CX-50 2nd generation.

Automatic switching between room system & BYOM

ClickShare brings the same unified experience to all meeting rooms, even to the ones with a fixed room system like Microsoft Teams Room.

If you add a ClickShare CX-50 2nd generation to a fixed room system, you add wireless sharing and native interoperability to that room. Whether you want to start your meeting in BYOM mode via the Button or the App, or start the meeting via the fixed room setup, the choice is yours.

The firmware 2.16 enables the CX-50 2nd generation to automatically switch the camera and speaker phone from a fixed room system to your laptop. This means that you can easily switch from the standard video conferencing platform to Bring Your Own Meeting mode and join calls on any other video conferencing platform from your laptop.

When you plug the ClickShare Button into your laptop and start your call, ClickShare takes control of the camera, microphone and speaker and uses them in BYOM mode. Once you end the call and remove the Button from the laptop, the peripherals revert to the default in-room system.

The automatic switch on CX-50 2nd generation seamlessly works with the following peripherals:

  • Logitech RallyBar (Mini)
  • Poly Studio X30/X50

This is only the beginning! Stay tuned as we expand to more peripherals and room system setups in the future.

2. Ultrawide screen support for the entire ClickShare 2nd gen range

All second generation C and CX ClickShare models now support meeting rooms with an ultrawide screen (21:9) over USB-C (DisplayPort).*

21:9 is the optimal format for ConferenceView, showing people and content next to each other, using all the pixels of the screen. This guarantees an equitable meeting experience, and makes all remote participants feel heard and seen.

In a nutshell: ClickShare is the perfect tool to bring a consistent experience to all your meeting rooms, no matter the technology set-up in the meeting room. It accommodates all meeting types, including ad-hoc, in-room, face-to-face and hybrid meetings. Your employees will love meeting again!

*Applies to the 2nd gen devices with the following article numbers:
R9861605XXXX
R9861611XXXX
R9861612XXXX
R9861613XXXX
R9861622XXXX

Love meeting with ClickShare

At Barco, we believe that when people meet, magic happens.

And nothing should come in between. No distance, no walls, no cables.

And no technology. So stop meetings, start meeting again.

That’s what ClickShare is designed to do.

How to update your devices?

ClickShare consists of different components: Base Units, Buttons, Apps and the XMS cloud management platform. Make sure each component is updated to guarantee the best experience.

  • Base Unit firmware can be installed via the auto-update functionality or it can be manually updated via the ClickShare Configurator.
  • Buttons update automatically via Wi-Fi.
  • ClickShare Desktop App. We recommended manually downloading and installing the latest version to ensure the App automatically updates to future releases. Once installed, an auto-update function will keep the App up to date. Do you want to enable wireless conferencing via the App? Be sure to download the MSI installer.
  • iOS and Android App are updated according to your mobile device settings.
  • XMS Cloud updates run automatically while XMS Virtual Edge can be updated manually.
