Barco and Unilumin extend their strategic partnership in LED video walls and LED processing

For more than 30 years, Barco has been a market-leading video wall solution provider offering RPC (Rear Projection Cube), LCD and LED video walls into several markets such as control rooms and broadcast studios. Our pioneering activities in all aspects of direct-view LED technology (both indoor and outdoor) have led to our deep understanding of all aspects of image processing and seamless deployment and operations. Because displays are only as good as their processors, Barco has also been at the forefront of image processing for more than 25 years.

Seizing opportunities in the LED market

The direct-view LED market continues to grow very fast. Rapid advancements in technology and reduction of prices, significantly broaden the applicability of this technology, allowing it to enter new markets. The speed of this process encourages manufacturers to combine their strengths, and approach the market with a joint offering. As such, the rising demand for advanced image processing in LED applications consequently leverages Barco’s key capabilities.

The existing strategic partnership has now been extended by integrating the Barco Infinipix Gen2 LED processor with Unilumin’s market leading MIP platform. This not only boosts the image quality of the Unilumin MIP products, but it also brings seamless integration with the Barco CTRL solution for the control rooms market, including full end-to-end security.

Extending our product portfolio

The partnership takes effect immediately, with the first Unilumin LED solutions featuring Infinipix Gen2 processing expected to be ready for shipments by Q4 2025.
