LORD SASSOON (°1955)
James Sassoon joined the Board of Directors of Barco NV in 2023. He is also an Independent Non-executive Director of China Construction Bank Corporation and of Arbuthnot Banking Group.
He holds a Master of Arts from Oxford University and is a Chartered Accountant. He was an investment banker at S.G.Warburg/UBS until joining the UK Treasury in 2002, first as a Managing Director then as Commercial Secretary. He was an executive director of Jardine Matheson from 2013 to 2020.
He is President of the China-Britain Business Council and Chair of Sir John Soane’s Museum and of the Pilgrim Trust.
