Since 2013, Al Ghad Al Arabi TV has been broadcasting Arabic-language news and entertainment programs from its London-based headquarters. Hosting a number of well-known journalists and boasting technology on the scale of television news giants like Sky News and the BBC, the broadcaster is very ambitious. Also for its local office in Cairo and for its news studio, which were inaugurated in 2015 and 2016 respectively, it resolutely relies on the very best technology – including Barco displays.

Al Ghad Al Arabi chose AV Solutions, a Dubai-based systems integrator, to supply, install and integrate the AV equipment in the two Cairo studios, which are 1km apart, and the control room. Ergonomic monitoring experience
In the control room, AV Solutions installed four standalone LDX-55 displays for 24/7 channel monitoring. The displays have a very thin and space-saving design, which was a key criterion for AV Solutions to choose this solution. Moreover, the LDX-55, which features durable LED backlit LCD technology, produces crisp, bright and color-accurate images. State-of-the-art news studio

When Al Ghad Al Arabi tv decided to upgrade its news studio, it turned to Barco again. Barco’s OL-710 video wall, in a 4 x 1 set-up, features as a bright backdrop in this state-of-the-art venue, with sliding walls and screens that are fully controlled by iPads. The presenter is now able to connect content with graphics and animation and put it all on the wall while she/he is on air, thus meeting the need to convey a feeling of “liveness”, immediacy and presence, in the brightest of images …
