Barco creative LED on show during Eurovision Song Contest 2011

On behalf of BRAINPOOL TV GmbH and NDR, CT realized an enchanting LED and video show for the 2011 Eurovision Song Contest - the biggest live TV-show in Europe. The show reached an estimated audience of 120 million people worldwide and 36,000 spectators live at the arena in Düsseldorf, Germany. Set designer for this year’s edition was Florian Wieder.

The moving, flying elements above the stage incorporated almost 200 sqm Barco MiTRIX creative LED modules. The stage floor and the flying elements held a total of 2.6 kilometers MiSTRIP, Barco’s creative LED pixel strips.
Twelve Barco FLM HD20 events projectors broadcasted the acts of the 43 participating countries for the audience inside the giant arena. The images were projected onto twelve 60 sqm screens, forming a total of 720 square meters projected area.
