Beijing, China, August 6th, 2012/-- Global market leader in visualization and display solutions, Barco, kicked off its open house, entitled 2012 Barco Innovation Week, in Beijing today. In addition to showcasing its innovative range of products – including cutting-edge projector, virtual reality, medical display, control room display and LED technologies – Barco also unveils the HDQ-2K40: the first projector in the world to deliver a light output of 40,000 lumens. Needless to say, the brightest device in the room attracted a lot of attention from interested visitors.

By offering a full line of mid-/high-end projectors with a light output ranging from 6,000 to 40,000 lumens, Barco establishes positions itself as a true pioneer. At the open house, a series of projectors with a light output of over 10,000 lumens were presented, including the HDQ-2K40 – the highlight of the open house.  The HDF as well as HDQ series - both newly-introduced high-end projectors built upon a full modular design - deliver more stable and reliable performances to ensure customers’ ROI. Not only do they support 3D projection, they also allow for full wireless control through smartphones or flat panels.

In addition, two sets of HDX W14 demonstrate the seamless wall display with edge fusion technology. Combined with Barco’s FSN presentation switchers, they can simulate complicated applications, such as random split display of multiplexed signal sources. That way, they offer a standard video display solution for various events, like conferences.

Over the next two weeks, more than 600 professionals from Barco’s business partners, system integrators, end users, trade federations and the media will be invited to experience and share their views on its innovative products and world-beating technologies, which are believed to deliver improved user experiences.
