Barco dominates at this year's European Congress of Pathology

DISPLAYS 1 min read

At the European Congress of Pathology (ECP) held this year in Prague, Barco pathology displays were highly visible across the show floor with one in every second exhibitor booth choosing to use Barco pathology displays.

Barco's pathology displays were omnipresent during the ECP 2012 exhibition in Prague, Czech Republic this week.

Interest in the benefits of pathology displays has been aided by the Second International Scanner Contest (ISC), which took place in Berlin under the auspices of the European Society of Pathology, the German Society of Pathology, and the Berufsverband Deutscher Pathologen e.V. (German Professional Organization of Pathologists), as well as by the scientific study conducted by the University of Pittsburgh's Medical Center's (UPMC) pathology department, where the Coronis Fusion 6MP DL was ranked number one in image quality and diagnostic confidence.

In the picture you see Alain Venneste, lead pathologist from AZ Groeninge, Kortrijk, Belgium, interacting with a digital slide image of a lung metastasis, and providing feedback to Jurgen De Backer, Business Development Manager for Barco’s pathology displays at ECP in Prague.
