Celebrating Christmas with the CEA: it’s a glamorous affair

The Cinema Exhibitors’ Association (CEA) loves premières. And not only when it comes to movies. Year after year, they manage to celebrate Christmas ahead of everyone else, in a fairytale setting. On 10 December, the cream of the crop of the cinema world got together at No. 8 Northumberland Avenue, near London’s Trafalgar Square, to share experiences and celebrate in style. Just like in 2013, Barco was a proud event sponsor of the ‘glamorous affair’, as the event was called.
Networking in style
With the launch of CinemaBarco, our laser-illuminated projectors, Barco Escape and the advent of our ‘Laser Guy’ and ‘Cinevangelist’, cinema sure was key to Barco’s business in 2014. So we had to be there, more than ever, at this year’s party, as the CEA event is a great occasion to show our support for the industry, showcase our products and services and network with the major cinema chains and film companies attending the event. Besides enjoying a delicious meal and a great party, we were happy to contribute to the CEA’s fundraising efforts as well: the casino games yielded a large amount of money for The Cinema and Television Benevolent Fund.
