On 15 and 16 September, the Asia Pacific Airline Training Symposium 2015 (APATS2015) takes place in Bangkok, Thailand. Barco will be present as well. On display? The FL35 WQXGA projector, which has proven to drastically reduce maintenance and operating costs while also improving the uptime of simulators.
Discovering tailored training solutions
APATS is the largest and oldest conference and trade show for aviation training in the Asia Pacific region and attracts over 300 aviation training professionals, including representatives from 36 airlines. The conference’s main focus is the improvement of flight training operations and procedures. In this way, visitors are presented with practical solutions to the aviation training community’s most pressing challenges.
Sights set on sustainability
One of those solutions is Barco’s FL35 WQXGA projector, renowned for its sustainability and outstanding image quality, even when operating 24/7. The simulation projector features second generation LED illumination, resulting in images at double the resolution and 50% more brightness than other LED-illuminated projectors. Equipped with a special lens for airline and training simulation, this projection solution meets the industry’s most pressing demands. A recently completed project in South Korea proves that Barco is no stranger to challenging simulation projects. Here, no fewer than twelve F12 WQXGA projectors were installed in an 8-meter diameter dome to create an immersive drilling simulation.
