Inside Barco’s AI Assembly: two days of discovery and innovation

Last May, we hosted a two-day AI Assembly: an event at our headquarters in Kortrijk, Belgium, entirely dedicated to innovation and the future of artificial intelligence.
With a strong focus on continuous learning and advancements, we brought together our Senior Leadership and 60 Barco colleagues from around the world to explore how AI can strengthen and optimize Barco as a whole, as well as its various business units.
A two-day investment in all things AI
Innovation is key at Barco, which means that we not only embrace the latest technologies, but also actively explore how AI can be used to improve processes and create new opportunities. That is why we decided to devote two full days to this crucial topic. AI is not just another tool. It is a strategic pillar that helps us strengthen our position as a technology leader.

During the first day of the Assembly, four enthusiastic speakers gave inspiring keynotes:
- Peter Hinssen, a technology and innovation visionary, shared his insights on the impact of AI on the future of businesses.
- Pieter De Backer brought an in-depth analysis of how AI can be integrated into medical processes.
- Reinier Leuken talked about the role of “agents” and how agentic AI can help Barco run more smoothly, efficiently, and effectively.
- Steven Delputte, who is a Barco colleague, shared valuable perspectives on Barco’s legacy and how it has built a strong foundation for AI, highlighting Barco’s rich tradition in algorithms and how we can implement AI to become faster and more efficient.
These keynotes set the stage for further discussions and ideation, challenging participants to think about how AI can help Barco become even more efficient and innovative.
