Barco and Absen partner to integrate Infinipix into the KLCOB V3 LED platform
Kortrijk, 4 November 2026 – Barco today announced that Absen, a world leader in direct-view LED video walls, has joined the Barco LED Alliance. Barco's Infinipix LED image processor is now integrated into Absen's KLCOB V3 series, available in 0.9, 1.2 and 1.5 mm pixel pitches. For integrators and end users, this means a validated combination of LED hardware and image processing that delivers consistent image quality from day one.
Absen joins other world-leading LED manufacturers in the alliance. This strategic partnership was created to let other major players in LED display technology integrate Barco’s Infinipix Gen2 LED image processing platform into their state-of-the-art video wall series, for optimal performance. With every new partner, and with more COB, MIP and SMD platforms on board, more customers can benefit from Infinipix image quality, whichever LED hardware they prefer. "Absen is a natural fit for our LED Alliance," said Gerrit Vermeire, VP Product Management and R&D Display at Barco. "They bring strong COB hardware and a global reach, and our customers get more choice without compromising on performance."
Where image quality is decided
The LED processor is the brain of the visualization chain, because every image is shaped by the processor before it reaches the LED wall. Content from cameras, PCs, media servers or Barco CTRL goes into the LED image processor, which takes care of color, motion, sync, reliability and security. From there, it travels to the direct-view LED tiles and receiver cards, and finally to the audience or operator.
"The display is what people see. Image processing decides how well they see it," Vermeire added. "It determines how an image looks, how it moves and how it stays in sync across hundreds of tiles. With Infinipix on the KLCOB V3, Absen's fixed-install portfolio gets the image quality Barco has built its name on."
What customers get on the KLCOB V3
The KLCOB V3 pairs Absen’s next-generation Micro LED hardware with Barco’s image processing expertise, delivering a sharper, more consistent and more uniform image. It combines exceptional image quality with eye comfort, energy efficiency, low maintenance, and safe, stable and easy installation. True Dynamic Range uses 24-bit color processing to keep grayscale and detail intact when a wall runs at reduced brightness, as many control rooms and design centers do. Smart-Calibration automatically applies the correct color gamut, so skin tones look natural and brand colors stay true.
Alliance partners value Infinipix just as much for how little effort it takes to get there. A guided setup flow and an intuitive interface make configuring a wall straightforward, even for people who are not LED specialists. “Our KLCOB V3 is designed for all scenarios - from control rooms and studios to meeting rooms, exhibition halls, and retail spaces - delivering flawless visuals every day for years to come,” said Shaun Xiao, Vice President of Absen. “Bringing Infinipix onto the platform gives our customers a proven image processing solution, tested together with Barco on our hardware. Integrators can design, set up and support these walls with more confidence, and end users get the picture quality they expect.”
The combination suits fixed installations such as control rooms, corporate spaces, broadcast facilities and experience centers.
