How to clear the database of the Nexxis OR Management software

Clearing the Database of the NMS allows the NMS to restart from a clear baseline.

Procedure

  1. Stop the NMS application
    Start > My Computer > Right-mouse click > Manage > Services
    Look for NMS
    Select NMS and then press Stop Service

  2. Remove DB files
    Go to the hidden folder: In C:\ProgramData\Barco\NMS\Jboss7\standalone\data and first backup and then delete the folder  “bms.auto.derby”.

  3. Restart NMS application
    Start > My Computer > Right-mouse click > Manage > Services
    Look for NMS
    Select NMS and then press Start Service


After a restart, a new DB will be created with the discovered devices All stored names or preferences will be deleted.
