A. Display output sources configuration behavior
Standard behaviour is that the HDMI™ input will be shown in the composition with the other sources. To remove it from the screen when using the ClickShare Desktop App or ClickShare Button, either long-press the ClickShare (virtual) Button to remove all sources except yours from the screen or use the moderator functionality (CSE-800 only)
To change this behaviour for CSE-200+ and CSE-800:
With the CSE-200+ and CSE-800, one can choose to either have the HDMI™ input on screen when no-one is sharing and to be replaced when someone is sharing their personal device through BYOD protocols, HDMI™ input 2 (CSE-800 only), the ClickShare apps or the ClickShare Button.
This is especially useful when you have an in-room computer or a signage player, which should only be on screen when no-one is presenting from their personal device.
To configure this, connect the fixed source (pc or player) to the HDMI™ 1 input port of the device and in the configurator of the device (or XMS), go to Display & Audio > Outputs > Screensaver and select HDMI™ as ScreenSaver Mode. Select after how much time of inactivity the HDMI™ screensaver should be shown and you are all set. Note that for this to work on the CSE-800, the HDMI™ 1 input port should be used for this purpose.
To change this behaviour for CX-50 Gen1, CX-50 Gen2 and CB Core/Pro:
CX-50 Gen1:
After selecting the desired time interval by dragging the red dot after “Show screensaver after (minutes)” close to the desired number of minutes. The red dot will snap to the nearest number when letting go.
The type of screensaver that will be shown can be changed by selecting the desired option from the "Screensaver Mode" dropdown menu:
- Default: uses the standard Barco screensaver.
- HDMI™: uses the HDMI™ signal to display a custom screensaver.
CX-50 Gen2:
After selecting the desired time interval by dragging the red dot after “Show screensaver after (minutes)” close to the desired number of minutes. The red dot will snap to the nearest number when letting go.
The type of screensaver that will be shown can be changed by selecting the desired option from the "Screensaver Mode" dropdown menu:
- Default: uses the standard Barco screensaver.
- DisplayPort over USB-C: uses the signal from the DisplayPort connection to display a custom screensaver.
Note: DisplayPort over USB-C screensaver is only possible if the DisplayPort protocol is disabled as output.
CB Core/Pro:
Currently doesn’t have this option.
B. Display Input sources configuration behavior
CSE-200+:
The signal LED illuminates when an input source is connected to the CSE-200+ HDMI™ input. The name of the source is displayed next to the source name, but it can be changed. This source name can be seen on the screen.
How to change the source name:
- Log in to the ClickShare Configurator.
- Click Display & Audio → Inputs.

- Click in the input field, select the current name and enter a new name.
- Click on Save changes to apply the new settings.
CSE-800:
By default, the HDMI™ input on a ClickShare Base Unit behaves in a similar fashion as the Button or App and will be added to the default layout if there is space available. If both HDMI™ input ports are used, they will both be displayed. The first source that is connected will be displayed first.
- If you wish to display or not display an HDMI™ input source in the composition, use the moderation functionality on the CSE-800 (how-to: see KB 2947) to control which source can be displayed on which screen.
CX-50 Gen1:
It is possible to attach the meeting room display to a computer via a wired connection using the ClickShare system. Select the connection method from the drop-down list after “Input Mode”:
- HDMI™: the display will be connected to the computer.
- Off: disables the input functionality.
ClickShare will show if an active connection is present with the icon after “Signal”.
The way ClickShare is identified on the connected computer can be changed by typing a desired name in the input box after 'Source Name'.
