When a 5.1 surround file is received in the AP24-3D processor, it is played out in 5.1 automatically, without any specific configuration. When an 11.1 encoded file is received, the processor automatically detects and processes the additional channels. Even more important: when an 11.1 package is received by a standard (5.1) audio processor, the throughput is equally transparent. The Auro 11.1 channels are mixed into a standard 5.1 package and require no new distribution standards. (When an 11.1 package is played into a 5.1 processor, the height information is invisible and, therefore, omitted.)
