Release notes
NEW FEATURES
- PDS and PDS 3G Support via AUX Setup
- PDS units with 3.00 software and above can now be connected to the Encore Controller via Ethernet for use as AUX Destinations. Like ImagePRO or ImagePRO-II connected as an AUX, the concept here is to connect outputs from one or more routers to the PDS so that any available source used in the Encore system can be displayed on a given monitor.
- Added support for the MatrixPRO-II 16x16 DVI router (P/N: R9004691)
- Added support for the GefenPRO Family of DVI routers
IMPROVED FUNCTIONALITY
- Resolved communication issues with larger setups consisting of many VPs and ImagePRO-II units on the same network.
- Input sizing, aspect ratio and color settings contained in the input files copied down to PDS and ImagePRO-II, will be used by these AUX devices when switching sources on these products.
- Added Dual-Head @50, 59.94 and 60Hz (1280x1080) to support the Barco panorama CRPN-52B projector.
- "Barco 1920x1200p" format names changed to "BarcoLink".
- Added 1920x1200p II @50Hz timing to support certain displays.
- Fixed output timing issue on ScreenPRO-II with 3G EOC when attempting to use Barco 1920x1200p or SMPTE 2K output resolutions on the EOC 3G SDI BNC.
- Minor improvements made when using Direct patching.
- Under certain conditions, ScreenPRO-II would not acquire from the correct input connector when there was an existing saved input file. This issue has been resolved in this release.
- Black Preview Function can now be enabled or disabled from within the USER PREF menu. When disabled (OFF), the "Black Preview" key on the controller will not function. The default for this user preference is ON.
- Group Key Functionality
- When using Group keys, if a destination is removed that was assigned to a Group key, the key will still function to select any remaining destinations defined as part of the group. Under this condition, the Group key will NOT be lit, indicating one or more destinations are no longer present. Making new destination assignments to this Group key will automatically remove any destinations that are not present in the system.
- Clone Functionality
- Various issues have been addressed with Clone concerning layer placement within the "dead zone", inability to enable Clone when no "conflict" existed, cloned PIP disappearing during size and position adjustments and clone violations when transitioning or switching to new sources under certain conditions. In addition, for five screen or more widescreens, only "OFFSET" will be available as a valid clone mode. Under this condition a mirrored "look" can be achieved by using the offset adjustment.

- Under certain circumstances, various menu options in the Output Test Pattern menu would show incorrect data in the adjustable field areas of the display. This issue has been corrected in this release.
- Under the configuration of using Direct Input mapping for a Widescreen setup, certain preset combinations would cause a PIP in the slave boxes to become misplaced with respect to the location stored in the preset. This issue has been corrected in this release.

- Widescreen markers in Preview would not be restored when exiting "Source Preview" mode. This issue has been corrected in this release.

- While in "Move Setup", the "Fullscreen" function would not work correctly under certain conditions. This issue has been resolved in this release.
- For PIPs without a Border or Shadow, the "Fullscreen" function would not work correctly under certain conditions for a cloned PIP.
- In order to map an input selection button to a scaled DVI input on the ScreenPRO-II, at least one ScreenPRO-II with EOC installed must be setup as a Destination and configured for Internal DVI routing.
- Selecting keyframe effects other than "Linear" had no effect for ScreenPRO-II destinations. These effect choices have been removed for use on ScreenPRO-II destinations only.
- The Saturation setting for SDI sources was not being correctly displayed on the controller after recalling the source for use in a layer. This issue has been addressed in this release.
