Release notes
- The 1.8.1 firmware introduces a solution to an issue that was introduced in the 1.8 firmware by which it was impossible to upload a certificate via the ClickShare Configurator.
- Note: the issue could only be encountered when doing a new configuration with manual certificate upload with 802.1x wired authentication or when doing a reconfiguration.
- Configuring 802.1x with EAP and manual certificate upload results in "Please enter a value with a valid mimetype".
=== Important notes to consider before upgrading ===
- This firmware introduces a mechanism for the auto renewal of (self-signed) certificates when they are expired. The user will not notice anything from this process.
- As from the 1.8 firmware version, support for older Buttons without certificate (article number R9861006D01) is dropped on CS-100 (Huddle), CSE-200, CSE-200+ and CSE-800 models.
- Support for MirrorOp has been dropped and we advise to work with the ClickShare apps.
- For the Windows driver for ClickShare to detect the Button, they require an update. This will go automatically via update over Wi-Fi. Alternatively they can be paired and updated manually by plugging the Buttons into the respective Base Unit. More information can also be found on https://www.barco.com/en/support/knowledge-base/KB9619

Release notes
=== The main features this release includes ===
- Custom Button Integration allows for greater flexibility when integrating your ClickShare devices by giving you full control over both the Button connection and the wireless settings of the Base Unit separately. This allows to enable presence detection for the ClickShare desktop App when the Button is fully integrated in the corporate network and to support direct connectivity for guests or BYOD.
- Windows driver support for the ClickShare Button on Windows 7, 8, 8.1 and 10. The Windows driver removes the last hurdle in the ClickShare Button experience by removing any need for manual action before sharing. The Windows driver automatically launches the ClickShare Client on the Button, allowing to click the button without any user action. The Windows pc will automatically download the driver from the Windows Update store upon first insertion of the ClickShare Button (internet connection required).
- Prevent laptop going to standby when a Button is sharing content to the Base Unit for an improved experience during presentations.
=== Next to the addition of features, a number of known issues from the earlier firmware version has been resolved ===
- In certain instances, the internal Wi-Fi module became unavailable and required a reboot of the Base Unit.
- In the ClickShare configuration page, no message appeared to confirm that changes were applied.

Release notes
- This firmware improves the experience of our customer base that is increasingly making use of the 5 GHz Wi-Fi band.
- The 5 GHz band is now preferred over the 2.4 GHz band by the ClickShare Button in network integration mode in case an SSID is present on both bands with similar quality levels.
- Moreover, the scanning behavior in the 2.4 GHz range has been improved to make sure the Buttons connect to the most optimal access points in network integration mode.

Release notes
- When upgrading a CS-100 or CSE-200 Base Unit to 1.05.00 and network connected, in a non /24 network, the base unit will not have the correct subnet mask (as DHCP client) resulting in the Base Unit not being reachable - by CMGS or ClickShare Configurator. This results in the base units’ web UI not being reachable anymore and the buttons not being able to reach the base unit in Corporate Network Integration. Updating will require one to have a device in the same subnet as the Base Unit or update through a USB thumb drive.
- When upgrading from 01.05.00 to a higher version the base unit may not accept the update (workaround: enable Allow firmware downgrade and the update will continue)

Release notes
When upgrading CS-100 to 1.05 and network connected, in a non /24 network, the base unit will not have the correct subnet mask (as DHCP client) resulting in the Base Unit not being reachable. This results in the base units’ web UI not being reachable anymore and the buttons not being able to reach the base unit in Corporate Network Integration. The team is working on a 1.5.1 release which will include a fix for this problem. Updating will require one to have a device in the same subnet as the Base Unit or update through a USB thumb drive.
=== What's new in this release ===
- Start your meeting quicker
The time before a Button is ready to share when plugged into a personal computer has been drastically reduced with 30%. That's a lot more time to share brilliant ideas or work on bright outcomes. - Perform during your meeting
Enjoy real end-to-end 30 frames per second with audio and video in perfect harmony. Our adaptive algorithm makes sure you can stun your audience during your meeting. - Plug and update
Download the update for your Base Unit from the Barco website. Extract the zip file and put it on a USB stick without re- naming. Plug the USB into your Base Unit and enjoy the newest release. Of course, you can also update your fleet using the auto-update functionality or the Collaboration Management Suite. This is only applicable after updating to 1.5. - Mixed mode
Sharing through mobile devices has never been easier. You can now enjoy sharing over the wire while the Buttons still connect to the Base Unit directly. Hence without configuring network integration. To do so, simply browse to the Services page on the ClickShare Configurator WebUI and select "Enable over LAN".
