UDX-W40s showcased at major Saudi industry event
For the past few years, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has been on a drive to promote its entertainment and tourism sectors. Through Vision 2030, it defined major targets for the kingdom’s industry, driving demand for high performance products that deliver the quality that meets government expectations. Maestro Group was handling the full production of Joy Forum in November 2019 which was organized by the General Entertainment Authority to bring all industry leaders together and create a platform for conversation between them and their end users. The event was billed under the title, “Fostering a Joyful Culture, Building a Vibrant Society”.
Projection mapping is a trending technology in Saudi Arabia’s event industry so Maestro conducted a comprehensive technology research about how (?) the projection system could be a reliable addition to their rental fleet. They also checked the track record of projector performance in similar projects in Saudi Arabia and local after sales support.
The UDX platform was chosen as it is a compact projector that produces unmatchable color performance at 40,000 Lumen. Barco’s partner Martin Professional could demonstrate a strong local support with a local inventory of spare parts in Saudi Arabia and a guaranteed minimum turn-around time. Therefore Maestro decided to invest in a set of 26 UDX-W40 projectors. With this purchase, Maestro Group has one of the largest fleet of UDX-W40s in the region.

From racetrack to skyline: F1 energy lights up Shanghai
In mid-March, the Formula 1 Chinese Grand Prix 2026 lit up Shanghai. As part of the city’s “Spring Debut Season” – a flagship Culture-Commerce-Tourism-Sports-Exhibition initiative – the Checkered Flag Carnival ran alongside the race, turning the event into a full city-wide experience. While the daytime program delivered interactive showcases and fan engagement, the real transformation happened after dark. Along the West Bund in Shanghai’s Xuhui District, Barco high-brightness projection brought iconic architecture to life. Landmark buildings became dynamic storytelling canvases, extending the speed, energy, and emotion of motorsport into Shanghai’s nighttime skyline.
