Lowering our environmental footprint and those of our customers

Like most corporations, Barco is running an ongoing program to address carbon consumption on two sides: actual usage; and the proportion of renewables. The usage can vary over time due to market conditions. We are particularly proud to have reached 52% of renewables in 2021.

  • By 2023, reduce energy consumption in our won operations by 15% (vs2015) 
  • By 2023, reduce greenhouse gas emissions from our own operations by 35% (vs 2015) 
  • By 2025, reduce absolute greenhouse gas emissions by 45% (vs 2015) 
  • By 2023, ensure that at least 70% of our revenues come from products with the Barco eco-label 
  • By 2023, reduce the energy footprint of our products by 25%

With an Employee Net Promoter Score of 38.5%, Barco is at the top end of the ratings in business. Yet there is still work to be done, notably in diversity. Although complicated by the covid-19 crisis, training and development programs are still a priority.

As a committed corporate citizen, Barco is active in numerous community bodies and associations worldwide. In times of crisis, we stand with them. On a more functional level, training provides guidelines concerning business ethics, nurturing mentalities of “say-do” and “speak-up”.

  • By 2025, obtain an average cybersecurity maturity score of at least 3.4.
