ClickShare offers three predefined security levels that simplify security configuration. Administrators can select the level that best matches their organization's security requirements instead of manually configuring individual security settings. Once the desired level is selected, the corresponding security settings are applied automatically.
- By default, security level 1 is activated. Changing the security level will require a re-pairing of the Buttons.
Changing the security level from 1 to a higher level will change the compatibility setting for Buttons with certificate (R9861006D01). They cannot re-pair as long as the security setting is higher than level 1. - Setting a new security level on the Base Unit will restore the Base Unit's SSID broadcast function. This is evidenced by the SSID broadcast checkbox being activated on the Wi-Fi Settings page.
It is expected behaviour - All the preset security levels have SSID broadcast enabled. You can set a security level and hide the SSID after.
How to set the security level?
- Log in to the ClickShare Configurator of your Base Unit (how-to: see KB2324).
- Go to Security > Security Level and select the desired security level icon.
- Click Save Changes.
For detailed information on different security levels with ClickShare, see the chapter Security, security level in your ClickShare Base Unit installation manual (how-to: see KB9362).
