Better audio for the ClickShare Bar
Audio clarity is essential for effective communication, particularly in hybrid meetings.
With this release, we’ve significantly enhanced the ClickShare Bar to deliver clearer, richer, and more immersive sound, ensuring remote participants truly feel engaged and included in the experience.
Crisper voice
Improved microphone technology ensures remote participants hear every word clearly, fostering better understanding and engagement.
Seamless simultaneous speech
Our enhanced algorithms make simultaneous conversations flow more naturally, without interruption or audio dropouts.
Advanced echo and noise reduction
We´ve made great improvements in echo cancellation and noise suppression algorithms. What does this mean? Distractions like echoes, fan noise, or busy office sounds are now a thing of the past, creating a more professional meeting environment.
Seamless meetings with Smart Meeting Flow enhancements
We continuously strive to make hybrid meetings feel natural and intuitive. With direct input from our users, we've introduced several meaningful improvements, ensuring smoother meeting transitions and effortless interactions when using ConferenceView.
ConferenceView brings content and people together on the screen, keeping remote attendees fully engaged and ensuring every participant feels equally involved.
With this release, we´re introducing:
1. Flexible ConferenceView Entry
Previously, hosts who chose to dismiss ConferenceView faced challenges returning to this view mid-meeting.
We’ve addressed this by enabling an easy, single-click re-entry directly from the thumbnail page, keeping your presentations flowing smoothly and without interruption.
2. Smooth exit from ConferenceView
We've introduced the ability for hosts to effortlessly exit ConferenceView without it affecting the meeting flow.
Now, users can quickly navigate out of ConferenceView to share different items in full screen, giving presenters more options to smoothly manage their content and maintain engaging, dynamic presentations.
This allows for greater flexibility and eliminates unnecessary interruptions or meeting disruptions.
3. Instant ConferenceView host transitions
We know that sometimes a host needs to step out early from a meeting. Now, participants in the meeting room can instantly assume control of ConferenceView without any delay or awkward pauses.
This smooth transition ensures continuous collaboration and helps maintain momentum throughout your meetings.
IT admin experience
ClickShare Bar: power line frequency settings, now in XMS Cloud for improved remote video stream
Building upon the autumn release, which introduced power line frequency settings via the Web configurator, this spring update makes managing these settings even easier by adding them directly into XMS Cloud.
If your remote participants have experienced flickering video streams, this likely stems from incorrect power line frequency settings on your ClickShare Bar camera.
With this update, IT admins can now effortlessly adjust camera settings directly within XMS Cloud to match the correct power line frequency. This simple adjustment ensures flicker-free, high-quality video streams, significantly enhancing the remote participant experience, boosting engagement, and improving overall meeting satisfaction.
How to adjust the power line frequency setting in XMS Cloud
- Access XMS Cloud
- Go to the Configuration tab>Conference Bar
- Scroll to the Anti-flicker settings
- Use the drop down to select the right frequency.
Camera events available in XMS Cloud
XMS Cloud now includes comprehensive, real-time camera event notifications, enabling IT teams to quickly react and manage ClickShare devices effectively. Administrators receive immediate alerts in the XMS Cloud platform for critical technical issues such as:
- UVC controls not responding
- camera cannot stream
camera has a malfunction
These instant notifications allow IT teams to rapidly address and resolve incidents as soon as they arise, reducing downtime and ensuring optimal device health.
As a result, meeting rooms remain consistently available and operational, boosting reliability, productivity, and overall satisfaction among meeting participants.
ClickShare and Microsoft Shared Spaces
Microsoft´s Shared Spaces refer to various types of meeting and work areas that support collaborative work environments.
These include spaces where participants simply bring and use their laptop to connect to a Teams call and to meeting room peripherals (cameras, mics, all-in-one bars, etc.) and are able to collaborate effortlessly.
ClickShare actively supports this collaborative vision. Recognizing this shared commitment, Barco and Microsoft entered a formal agreement in February 2024, aiming to simplify IT management and significantly elevate meeting experiences for participants.
This partnership means that the latest, cutting-edge AI-driven features from Microsoft and Copilot are now seamlessly integrated and fully functional within ClickShare-enabled rooms.
When you plug in your ClickShare Button and join a Teams call, you immediately benefit from advanced AI collaboration tools designed to streamline and enrich your meeting experience.
Microsoft´s Automatic room audio selection
As soon as the ClickShare Button is connected before a video call, the room’s audio system is automatically activated.
This ensures that all participants enjoy a clear, professional audio experience without having to manually adjust their laptop’s audio settings, mute individual microphones, or manage complex audio configurations.
This reduces audio frustrations, prevents voice interference, and enhances overall meeting flow.
Enhanced speaker recognition and accurate attribution
With a Teams Premium or Copilot license, ClickShare-enabled rooms now feature precise speaker recognition.
This capability ensures that speakers are accurately identified, and meeting transcripts clearly attribute statements to the correct individuals.
As a result, post-meeting documentation, task assignments, and follow-ups become streamlined, precise, and immediately actionable.
Streamlined onboarding of ClickShare Devices in the Microsoft Teams Pro Portal
Managing your ClickShare devices within Microsoft Teams has become significantly easier and more intuitive.
Starting with firmware version 2.20 last autumn? ClickShare devices could already be effortlessly imported into the Microsoft Teams Pro Portal, allowing simplified integration of your meeting spaces.
Here's how it works:
- Ensure your ClickShare Buttons are configured with a unique USB identification per meeting room in XMS Cloud or the Web Configurator.
- If adjustments were made, re-pair your Buttons; otherwise, no re-pairing is needed.
- Export an .XLSX file containing your ClickShare device details directly from XMS Cloud.
- Import this file into the Microsoft Teams Pro Portal and easily allocate each device to its respective meeting room.
The game-changing feature here is the simplified allocation of devices. Each device is automatically named after its meeting room, eliminating guesswork and ensuring straightforward management. This unique capability significantly improves efficiency for IT administrators and enhances overall ease of managing meeting spaces.
With the Spring release, this unique room identification feature is enabled by default—no manual intervention required.
Multiple Buttons now automatically associate themselves with a single room, making it easy to add or re-pair additional Buttons without confusion.
Simply export from XMS and import directly into Teams, saving valuable time and ensuring seamless room representation.
How to update your devices?
ClickShare consists of different components: Base Units, Buttons, Apps and the XMS Cloud management platform. Make sure each component is updated to guarantee the best experience.
- Base Unit firmware can be installed via the auto-update functionality or it can be manually updated via the ClickShare Configurator.
- Buttons update automatically via Wi-Fi.
- ClickShare Desktop App. We recommended manually downloading and installing the latest version to ensure the App automatically updates to future releases. Once installed, an auto-update function will keep the App up to date. Do you want to enable wireless conferencing via the App? Be sure to download the MSI installer.
- iOS and Android App are updated according to your mobile device settings.
- XMS Cloud updates run automatically while XMS Virtual Edge can be updated manually.
