ClickShare devices suddenly keeps showing Barco Logo

Applicable to

Symptom:

  • The Base Unit only displays the Barco logo on the connected display.
  • Rebooting the device does not provide a solution.
  • The Base Unit is in some cases not reachable over the Wi-Fi connection.
  • The Base Unit remains reachable over the LAN connection.

Affected Devices:

This affects the Base Units of the ClickShare Present (CS, CSE and C) and ClickShare Conference (CX) series that:

  1. have BYOD services enabled (Airplay, Googlecast, Miracast) 
  2. are running an older firmware version

Solution:

Updating the Base Unit to the Firmware version in below table solves this.

For the installations where an update to the Firmware version is not allowed, you can use the following workaround:

  • Login to the WebUI of the Base Unit over the LAN connection
  • Disable all BYOD services (AirPlay, Google Cast, Miracast)
  • Reboot the Base Unit
