Problem
Customers using legacy ClickShare CS and CSE series devices may expect to receive software updates automatically through the auto update service. Following the discontinuation of this service for the CS and CSE product range, automatic software updates are no longer available for these devices.
As a result, devices configured for automatic firmware updates will no longer be able to receive updates through the auto update service after the service is discontinued.
Additionally, any update workflows, scripts, or management tools that rely on the legacy auto update server location will no longer function for ClickShare CS and CSE devices.
Cause
As part of the ongoing End of Service (EOS) process for the ClickShare CS and CSE product ranges, Barco is discontinuing the automatic firmware update service for these platforms.
Please note that no new firmware releases have been published for these devices since February 2025.
Solution
The discontinuation of the auto update service does not affect the normal operation of ClickShare CS and CSE devices. Only automatic firmware updates are affected.
Customers who continue to operate ClickShare CS and CSE series devices must use the manual update process. The final supported firmware versions will remain available for download from the Barco website.
To install available firmware versions:
- Download the latest firmware applicable to your CS or CSE device from here.
