You can connect to the ClickShare Configurator (aka WebUI) of the ClickShare Base Unit by 3 ways, each of which is explained in detail below:
- Connect to the ClickShare Base Unit wired IP (or wireless client)
- Connect to the ClickShare Base Unit internal Wi-Fi
- Direct Ethernet connection between PC and Base Unit (ClickShare admin only)
Prerequisites: Supported web browsers such as Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Firefox, or Safari.
1. Connecting to Base Unit’s Web Configurator point via wired IP (or wireless client)
This procedure can be followed for the Base Unit’s operating other than the standalone mode.
- Find the wired IP address of your ClickShare Base Unit by looking for it on the Base Unit's splash screen or in the About menu of the ClickShare App (how-to, see KB 9652).
- Open the web browser on your laptop and browse to the IP address of your Base Unit.
Note: Click on the IP address shown in the About menu of the ClickShare app to quickly and directly open the ClickShare Configurator for the Base Unit on your laptop. - Bypass the browser warning that appears. For example, in Chrome, click on Advanced and then click Proceed to <IP address>(unsafe).
Note: Depending on the web browser used, the way to bypass the browser warning may vary. - Enter the login credentials (Username: admin and Password: admin), accept the EULA and click Log in to connect to the ClickShare Configurator.

2. Connecting to Base Unit’s Web Configurator point via Wi-Fi
This procedure can be followed for the Base Units operating in the standalone mode.
- On your laptop, connect to your Base Unit’s Wi-Fi (SSID) by locating it in the list of available Wi-Fi networks (how-to, see KB 2675).
Note: The default SSID of a ClickShare Base Unit is 'ClickShare-<serial base number>' and the default password of the Wi-Fi connection is clickshare. - Open the web browser on your laptop and browse to 192.168.2.1 or the IP address configured for your Base Unit during setup.
- Bypass the browser warning that appears. For example, in Chrome, click on Advanced and then click Proceed to <IP address>(unsafe).
Note: Depending on the web browser used, the way to bypass the browser warning may vary. - Enter the login credentials (Username: admin and Password: admin), accept the EULA and click Log in to connect to the ClickShare Configurator.
3. Direct Ethernet connection between PC and Base Unit
This procedure is primarily for ClickShare admin and can only be followed if the IP address of the ClickShare Base Unit is not known.
- Connect the Base Unit to your laptop using an Ethernet cable.
- Open the web browser on your laptop and browse to http://192.168.1.23.
- Bypass the browser warning that appears. For example, in Chrome, click on Advanced and then click Proceed to <IP address>(unsafe).
Note: Depending on the web browser used, the way to bypass the browser warning may vary. - Enter the login credentials (Username: admin and Password: admin), accept the EULA and click Log in to connect to the ClickShare Configurator.
If the ClickShare Base Unit is managed by XMS Cloud, you can access its ClickShare Configurator through the XMS Cloud interface, for details see the chapter Manage Base Unit devices in the XMS Cloud User Guide.
Troubleshooting
Unable to bypass the browser warning Your connection is not private:
Ensure that your ClickShare Base Unit is running on the latest firmware (how-to, see KB 13401). If not, upgrade your Base Unit with the latest firmware (how-to, see KB 5923).
For ClickShare CS-100(H) and CSE-200 ensure they are running firmware version 1.11.10.3 or higher. for details, see KB 7472.
Unable to access the ClickShare Configurator over Wi-Fi connections:
The option ClickShare Configurator available via Wi-Fi is disabled in the ClickShare Configurator of the Base Unit. To enable it, go to Wi-Fi & Networks > Wi-Fi Settings and check the checkbox in front of ClickShare Configurator available via Wi-Fi.
