Article number: [2463] - Legacy code: [9717]

Applicable to

Information: Not all models of Barco's Diagnostic Imaging Monitors have the options "Factory Reset" available in their OSD (On-Screen-Display) Menu. See further below in this KB article, the corresponding table for more information. If the option is not available, then we recommend creating a service ticket to get further assistance by the Barco Customer Service Team (more about here KB6024 )

Use case:

A factory reset on a diagnostic imaging monitor is recommended when an unexpected issue is noticed on the monitor and all other potential root causes (QAWeb Software, video cables, power supplies, Display Controller, MXRT Drivers, backlight panel issue, etc...) have been ruled out during investigations.

Factory Reset:

Note: The layout of the OSD might look different depending from the diagnostic imaging display model.

Warning: If QAWeb Enterprise is installed on the workstation, it locks per default the access to the OSD Menu. To unlock the OSD Menu, please follow the guidelines mentioned in the following KB Article: https://www.barco.com/fr/support/knowledge-base/2050-how-to-unlock-the-osd-menu-in-qaweb-enterprise
  1. Open the OSD Menu according to the instructions of the user manual of your display model that can be downloaded on the Barco Website https://www.barco.com/en/support (In this example, the OSD Menu can be accessed by pressing in the lower right corner, the soft buttons)
  2. Select the service mode option
  3. Enter the Service Code which by default is set to 5040 (For more information, check the table below)
  4. Select Factory Reset (you will have to confirm this choice before the factory reset will start)

The display will reset all current settings to its factory settings. Note that the image will disappear for a couple of seconds from the monitor and will return.

Note: We suggest to perform a FULL Calibration in QAWeb Agent after performing the Factory Reset of a diagnostic imaging monitor (see more about Full Calibration, here KB8001in order to deploy the calibration settings back to the monitor via the policies of Medical QAWeb.
