Not necessarily:
- Most devices let you fall back to a device PIN or password when biometrics fail.
- When the passkey prompt appears, look for a Use PIN/Password or Try another way option.
If your device won’t unlock at all, you’ll need to:
- Fix access to your device (reset device PIN/password), Or
- Use another device or backup login method (password, backup codes, security key) to access your account and create a new passkey.
